Simon is leading his Fish and Chip run from Castle Square in Morpeth, leaving at 7pm
Philip Gray will be giving a talk about his other interest, Aircraft, Something different for a bike club, but I am sure it will be of great interest. Please let Bradley know if you would be interested to give a talk about something outside of motorcycling, but would be of interest to the section. (Car, bike, planes, trains etc…)
Simon is planning to leave Wolviston Services mid-morning on Friday 4th October and ride to a hotel close to Woodhall Services on the M1 that will be the start of the RTTW. (Hotel details to follow and you will need to book direct with the hotel if you are staying over)
The RTTW marshalled ride will leave Woodhall Services at 08:30am on Saturday 5th October. The plan is to arrive at the Arboretum at 10:00am. The day ends around 4:30pm. Simon is planning to return home after the event finishes. (You may wish to stay over another night, so book this directly with the hotel if so)
Check The Journal for further updates, or contact Simon if you have any questions.
Our Annual General Meeting is where we report to the membership what has been happening during the past year. We will also be voting for who represents us in the life of the section. Please make every effort to attend and have your say and give your ideas on how we can improve what we are doing. Any nominations for posts of Secretary, Treasurer, Social Secretary must be nominated and seconded and passed to Simon at least 30 days before the date of the AGM.
Arrive for 1pm for lunch. Book a table as this is a very popular venue.
Marley Hill Community Centre is the new venue for our 1st Wednesday Natter Night. This replaces The Mill House in Birtley where we previously met. The centre is on the A692 road. From A1 end, come off at Team Valley, and head up to Sunniside and then Marley Hill. The centre is opposite St Cuthbert’s Church and it is on the Right hand side. As you go round a right hand bend the entrance is immediately on your right.
From Stanley direction, A692 past Burnopfield (Hobson) follow on past Team Valley Motorhomes on the right, down into Marley Hill. You will go through a line of Miner’s Terraced houses and then the centre is on the Left hand side.
Come and join us at an earlier time for our end of season buffet. We will be having a quiz on the night along with good food and drink and even better company if you are there! Please let Bradley know by email if you are coming, and also any dietary requirements, so we have an idea of numbers, email@example.com
